Togadia delivers hate-filled speech in a lackluster VHP program in Pirana

Giving full credit to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) for working for the cause of Hindus and Hindutva in the country, the VHP General Secretary Dr. Praveen Togadia chose the venue of Pirana near the Imam Shah Bava Dargah, some 25 kms away from Ahmedabad. The three days’ National Convention of the VHP incidentally coincided with the Bakrid and the thrust of the convention kept moving from Conversion to Cow slaughter and attack on minorities specially Muslims.

Earlier the citizens from cross-section of the society from Gujarat and the rest of India had demanded Governor of Gujarat, Dr. Kamla’s intervention in alerting the State Police Administration to withdraw the permission to the VHP’s 3- Day Conference ‘Dharm Prasar Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarta Sammelan’ which ran from 5th to 7th November.

There was tension in the air of Pirana as a result of this conference.

Muslims protest against Raj govt, wear black bands for prayers

On the occasion of Eid-Ul-Zuha, several Muslims in Kishorpura area here wore black bands during namaaz today in protest against Rajasthan government’s alleged negligence of issues relating to the minority community. They wore black strips around their arms, local Muslim cleric Anwar Ahemad said. “This was done to show their displeasure over the government’s apathy towards issues pertaining to minorities, which was evident in the way the recent violence in Gopalgarh was handled,” he said.
